MUSIC 'N' YU
Musician and old fellow colleague of mine, Chris Adu, came to me with a request to create him a website that would allow him to show his service offerings of music and vocal coaching and a place where the public can not only contact him directly but also view and find out about his latest involvements within the music industry.
Chris is a multi-talented guy, not only in music but also within business, local church teachings, prayers and singing. He's published a book, Praise and Worship Leaders In Crisis, which is available on Amazon, something he's mega proud of. I've had the pleasure to have worked with Chris for many years, he's a dear friend and genuinely great guy.
Logo
This project started off with producing a logo, capturing the essence of "music", felt and heard across nations. Chris was set on going for a gold-on-black co-ordination, which I thought was an awesome idea as it gave me lots of creative thought for how the website design would feed in from this, black & white instantly came to mind with touches of gold.
The idea of the world embracing music gave instant uplift to the vibe Chris was looking for, to reach people across the globe seemed meaningful with ambition. As an additional request, Chris wanted the logo to be somewhat interactive or to be used to show more or hidden menu items. I liked the idea of this as it would bring some depth and originality to the design when used on the website.
The final logo design, coupled with the hidden pop-out menu items when viewing on the site was immensely pleasing and very eye catching. Gold on black always works well with the right gradient, and using the music note in the word 'Music' itself, definitely finished it off.

Website
The site included a stunning rotating image side bar in black & white, which remains static as the other half of the page scrolls seamlessly to each section via the nav menu items upon click. With a drop-down menu that appears via a click of the logo itself, hover over panel link to purchase the book, photo gallery and blog page, this site is a pleasure to browse, with a responsive user experience across phone and tablet.
Business Card
To accompany Chris' business venture as a professional music producer, arranger, engineer, vocalist and keyboardist, I produced a clean and sleek business card design making a statement using the quote "Music, Now's the Time". Again, the golds, blacks and whites truly work well together and really stand out.
